MINNEAPOLIS – April 21, 2016 – Field Nation, the leading marketplace platform for contingent and on-demand workforce management, today named Eric Winter to the newly created role of vice president of product management. Winter will oversee the production and development of the Field Nation web platform, mobile applications, and SaaS-related offerings that provide businesses and freelance technicians with industry-leading solutions to find and complete work online.

“I am excited to join the Field Nation team and put my experience to use with an award-winning product,” said Winter. “Field Nation has been recognized on a national scale as the leading platform that provides businesses and freelancers with an online ecosystem to manage and complete their work. With the talents of our product and development teams, I believe that we can accelerate the growth of the platform to lead through the changing needs of today’s workforce.”

Winter most recently served as senior digital product leader for mobile ecommerce at Target where he was recognized as one of the country’s leading visionaries and web experts by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). In 2013, 2014, and 2015, Winter received four Webby Awards for his role in the innovation and development of the retailer’s iPad app and website design. The Webby Awards are presented annually and recognize the top web experts across five categories, including websites, mobile sites and apps. During his tenure at Target, he also led international and domestic supply chain initiatives. Prior to Target, Winter served Anderson Corporation as application development manager in product development.

In his position at Field Nation, Winter will lead the product and development operations teams to deliver a best-in-class online ecosystem that is meaningful to both businesses and freelancers operating in the field service industry. In addition to the continued enhancement of several current and future Field Nation platform offerings, like the Android mobile application, iOS app, and website features, Winter will streamline initiatives to accelerate the adoption and uptake of Field Nation Complete, the cloud-based SaaS solution for total workforce management.

“Eric’s background perfectly suits our need to establish a best-in-class product for businesses and freelancers looking to connect and complete their work in the digital age,” said Travis Emslander, Field Nation CTO. “His 20 years of technical product development and management expertise will be invaluable as we advance our platform to accommodate growing interest and demand in today’s gig economy.”
