Now Online, Field Nation University Helps Providers Advance Their Training; Buyers Learn How to Fully Maximize the Tools on the Platform
MINNEAPOLIS – March 3, 2016 – Field Nation, the leading marketplace platform for contingent and on-demand workforce management, today announced the launch of Field Nation University. The new addition to FieldNation.com is designed to help service providers advance their technical skills and field services education, and to help service buyers maximize their benefit of the suite of features offered by Field Nation.
“Field Nation University is the latest addition to FieldNation.com and provides users with access to video series and tutorials on a variety of field services and platform topics,” said Travis Emslander, chief information officer at Field Nation. “It enables providers to further their education and promote themselves to clients in the Field Nation marketplace. In addition, it helps buyers become more familiar with specific features designed to enhance their operating efficiency and determine which independent contractors have the right skillsets and certifications.”
The buyer section of Field Nation University includes videos that highlight top Field Nation features like Field Nation Complete, Field Nation Project Management Workbench and Field Nation WorkSmart Connect. Feature videos, helpful tips and detailed information to help maximize an organization’s entire workflow and workforce will be added to this section of the website in the near future.
The provider section includes a seven-part video series on security and alarm installation training, and will subsequently offer additional technical training series. In addition, providers can access the existing Protec Worksafe Worksmart program from Field Nation University. This program provides badges for contractors who consistently receive ratings of 5 stars or more for work completed on the platform.
The provider section also highlights pertinent training information to help technicians succeed in the field and includes recommendations for professional behavior and customer service best practices. It is the first of many that Field Nation will produce spanning various industries, skillsets and technologies applicable in the IT/field services space.
Field Nation University will also use content to give providers access to targeted job opportunities and establish new client and professional relationships. Providers will be able to receive a Field Nation University badge upon the completion of a quiz at the end of each video series. The badge will be displayed on the provider’s Field Nation profile and serve as further evidence to businesses that he or she is adequately trained and prepared to tackle specific projects and can be applied to searches conducted by buyers looking for Field Nation University credentialed providers.
Finally, upon the successful completion of a Field Nation University quiz, providers can choose to complete an additional recruitment process which will place them on a Preferred Provider List for exclusive work opportunities. This is another way Field Nation is helping support the career advancement of technical freelancers operating in the on-site, on-demand field services industry.
