Highly Engaged Independent Workforce Will Grow to 50 Million Strong by 2020; How Businesses Can Leverage This Expertise
MINNEAPOLIS – Feb. 18, 2015 – William Cripe, Chief Marketing Officer at Field Nation, has been selected to present at the 2015 BICSI Winter Conference & Exposition in Orlando, Fla., on February 26. The presentation, entitled “The New Face of the American Workforce,” addresses how businesses can take advantage of the changing tides in the U.S. labor market in order to get more work done cost effectively.
“Studies show that disengaged workers cost the U.S. economy $550 billion,” said Cripe. “By contrast, the freelance workforce is more highly engaged, more satisfied and delivers consistently better results in the work they complete. In 2014 Field Nation conducted a proprietary study of its platform users to identify trends among independent contractors. The study found that 90% of independent contractors view themselves as deeply committed to the work they do for their clients. Compared with full- and part-time W2 employees, independent workers are three times more engaged in their work (30%1 vs. 90%).
Cripe will present findings from the Field Nation study and discuss ways to enhance workflow on Thursday, February 26, 9:15 – 10 a.m. – the closing general session prior to the BICSI Winter Conference & Exposition closing keynote.
