Field Nation to Present “New Face of the American Workforce” at 2015 BICSI Winter Conference

Field Nation’s very own Chief Marketing Officer, Billy Cripe, has been selected to present at the 2015 BICSI Winter Conference and Exposition in Orlando, FL, on Thursday, February 26. Cripe will discuss a high-level overview of Field Nation’s study on “The New Face of the American Workforce,” which addresses how businesses can take advantage of the changing tides in the U.S. labor market in order to get work done more effectively.

“Studies show that disengaged workers cost the U.S. economy $550 billion,” says Cripe. “By contrast, the freelance workforce is more engaged, highly satisfied, and delivers consistently better results in the work they complete. Organizations that want to capitalize on these workforce trends will learn how to streamline project work and get more done using skilled contractors.”

Cripe’s presentation will highlight the results of a proprietary study conducted by Field Nation in 2014 of its platform users that identified trends among independent contractors. Results of the study showed that 90% of independent contractors view themselves as deeply committed to the work they do for their clients and are three times more engaged than their full- and part-time W2 counterparts. The realization that enterprises are looking at employee engagement all wrong is one of the leading factors affecting the shift in today’s workforce towards independent labor. In fact, recent reports from Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) and IT staffing firm TEKsystems suggest that increases in the hiring of independent contractors will occur in 2015 and continue over the coming years.

Cripe will speak to the five shifts, two disruptions, and five key findings of the study and shed insight into the ways organizations can use this information to enhance their workflow and boost quality, engagement and service.
