FIELD NATION PARTNERS WITH INFOCOMM TO STRENGTHEN PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF FREELANCE TECHNICIANS

Partnership Provides Freelance Technicians Discounted InfoComm Membership and Access to Professional Development Resources

MINNEAPOLIS – June 7, 2016 – Field Nation, the leading marketplace platform for contingent and on-demand workforce management, announced its partnership with InfoComm International®, the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry worldwide.

Field Nation, dedicated to the professional development of freelance technicians who use the Field Nation platform, developed Field Nation University in March 2016 to help freelancers advance their technical skills and field services knowledge. With InfoComm International, Field Nation will enhance the audiovisual education and certification offerings for its users.

“This partnership is enabling Field Nation’s providers to install, upgrade and repair the world’s leading and most advanced audiovisual communication systems,” said Tim Giehll executive vice president of platform eco-system at Field Nation. “This is a great opportunity for existing technicians on our platform to grow their skills and get the certification they need. Expanding our training and certification opportunities is critical to our ongoing quality improvement process.”

As part of the agreement, InfoComm International will offer a discounted membership to registered users of Field Nation for $99. This membership allows access to entry-level AV training, discounts on advanced AV training, and additional learning opportunities through a member’s resource center. InfoComm, an ANSI Accredited Standards Developer Organization (ASD), provides industry standards as the foundation for quality audiovisual systems and offers the only ANSI-accredited audiovisual certification under the International Standard ISO/IEC 17024 for general technology solution tasks.

“We look forward to working with Field Nation to enhance the AV skills of independent contractors and help meet the demand for new, emerging communication technologies,” said John Woodstock, director of business development at InfoComm International. “Together, we offer the industry-leading training and education to freelance technicians who want to promote their expertise and skills in the ever-changing technology industry.”
