I can’t help but think about Field Nation right now. You see I’m writing this from the top of Brockway Summit on the Tahoe Ridge Trail overlooking beautiful Lake Tahoe, 7700 feet up.
The climb up wasn’t easy. But the thing is, I LOVE this! There were some neat sights along the way and I passed a few folks. I got passed by a guy on a mountain biker but, he was going a different direction.
I reached a point where I could turn and go off the easier flat trail or go up up up up a tiny path hoping it lead to the top.
Know what? It did! And when I reached the top I was, am, alone.
This is how I see Field Nation!
The climb is strenuous and few have walked here before. We cannot stop because it’s hard or because others are going fast in another direction.
We will reach the top where there are no others and the whole world is at our feet.
Here’s to Field Nation.
P.S. yes…I did it in my kilt!
