Background Check and Drug Test Expiration FAQ
Q: Why are we expiring background checks and drug tests?
We are standardizing our screening process and expiring background checks and/or drug tests that have not been taken through our current screening partner, Checkr. We will be removing all non-Checkr related background checks and drug tests to improve the overall experience for both providers and clients.
Q: When will my current background check and/or drug test expire?
On January 1st, 2020, we will be expiring any background check and drug test that has not been ordered through Checkr on Field Nation.
Q: How do I know if my background check or drug test was not completed with Checkr?
Must be viewed on a desktop computer.
Go to view your profile and scroll down to the Verified Screenings section and click on the background check or drug test.
Q: Does not having a background check or drug test, or failing one disqualify me from obtaining work?
Screenings are not required to gain access to work on Field Nation. Choosing not to purchase a screening or having a non-compliant result does not disqualify you from work. Some clients have their own policies and requirements when it comes to screenings. Assigning work is at the discretion of each client.
Q: What do drug tests screen for?
10 Panel tests includes: Marijuana, Amphetamines, Methamphetamines, Methadone, Opiates (opium, heroine, etc.), Phencyclidine (PCP, Angel Dust, etc.), Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, and Propoxyphene.

There are a number of different screenings available. The prices for each are as follows:

Q: Is there a discount if I complete my background and drug test by the end of the year?
Yes. We are taking $10 off each background check and drug test ordered by 12/31/2019. The discounted prices are reflected above.
Q: Do I have to take both a background check and a drug test?
No. You can choose to take either a background check or a drug test.
Q: What’s the benefit of having an updated background check and drug test?
Clients use background checks and drug tests as the number one filter when searching for providers. Having an updated background check and drug test increases your opportunity to get work. Clients often search for providers with a background check and/or drug test under two years.
