It is already the end of February! Can you believe it? The end of the first quarter is coming to a close, not to mention that time is ticking down for old man winter. It was 72 degrees here on Friday in Missouri, and 77 on Saturday, and now they’re talking about the possibility of snow on Wednesday! However, I will take all of it.
The Field Nation team is as busy as ever and moving forward with improvements across the board. I would like to review a very serious topic which I have spoken on before. I want to reassure all of you that the procedures and policies we have in place are there to protect both our buyer and provider users. Occasionally, as with all systems that bring people together to get work done, there might be someone who attempts to circumvent the system and go outside the platform to conduct their business with contacts they made while using Field Nation. Before you find yourself getting involved in a situation such as this, I would recommend you consider the seriousness of these actions. We continuously strive to protect the interests of all who utilize our platform for their business needs and offer support across the lifecycle of a work order or project. However, it is always a good idea to make sure you re-read the Field Nation User Agreement and Terms of Service documents to ensure you are up-to-date and well informed on the contracts you entered into with clients when you sign up. Keep in mind the ramifications that can incur when circumventing the system – you are no longer covered by the Field Nation Insurance Program, or any other work order protections which are guaranteed when you use the platform to find and complete your work.
All users who sign up for a Field Nation account attest that they have read and understand the aforementioned legal agreements, a part of which states that solicitation and/or circumvention is not allowed. It is our job to ensure that both buyers and providers are protected when using Field Nation, and if we all work together and trust in each other to abide by these rules, we will all be able to move forward together successfully. While it can be a bit boring to read, taking the time to familiarize yourself with our legal agreements is more than worth it.
Every one of us at Field Nation is here to help you promote your business; we want you to succeed! This goes for both buyers and providers alike, since your success determines our success. Think of all we do for you, because I assure you that we think of all that you do for us every day – we are all about win/win here, my friends, and you know that.
Providers can also think about it this way – 10% for peace of mind. This is not a steep fee. If a work order is over $1,000, that charge drops to 8%. This fee is for your protection and ensures you are compensated in a timely manner and for the processing of all your tax information. I am going to take a snippet here from an old blog, since I know I have said this time and time again, but….update your profile! And if you don’t know how, go here for a step-by-step walk-through. I cannot stress how important this is. It is so easy and will increase your appeal to buyers. The “About” section is the most important part of your profile since it tells people who you are and what you can do for them. An updated profile showcases what clients can expect if they utilize you or your company’s services, and a professional profile picture boosts the likelihood of your getting a job – so just do it!
Now, I have a question for all of you – what certifications are the most important to have to increase your business? Which ones would help you the most? Do you know? What work orders do you see out there that you cannot request because they have certain requirements? Think about it. How can you put yourself in a position to get more work? Having a background check will get you more work. Let’s do everything we can to bring more opportunities your way. My friends, only you can make it happen, so go ahead and “Git ‘er done.”
