Greetings Professional Providers and Buyers,

Summer is kicking in across the country, and I will tell you it is getting quite muggy here in Missouri where I live. Some people are already complaining it is too hot, while of course these are the same people who complain it is too cold in the winter. We have had a lot of rain here, as well as the rest of you across our great land, and it is finally tapering off, which is a good thing for sure! It is amazing how too much of a good thing can wreak such havoc – Mother Nature is definitely a powerful force.

I would like to start this month by mentioning something very interesting regarding a study that Field Nation conducted. We are all aware that the core relationship which is maintained through the platform involves businesses which require the services of another for operational reasons. Well, our team’s analysis found something that I find quite interesting. We discovered that the majority of our providers view themselves as entrepreneurs or small business owners. This means that when a buyer engages with a provider on Field Nation, they are engaging in a B2B (business to business) relationship. This plays into the shift from traditional employment towards contracting and how it is impacting the face of both the American and international workforces.

I also want to report to you that our recent acquisition of FieldSolutions is going well. It is an exciting time at Field Nation and moving forward with the blending of expertise on both sides is already starting to bear fruit. Many of you have asked if we will remain as separate companies; the answer is we are Field Nation, the leader in the FMS platform space with even more resources to offer all of you.

I have some more good news as we continue to expand the capabilities of our platform for everyone. Mr. Scott Bishop from our Development Team shared with me last week some new certifications that have been added to Field Nation. There has been an uptick in demand for these particular certifications due to the healthcare side of installations and maintenance. The following have been added as certifications on Field Nation:

1) CHP – Certified HIPAA Professional

2) CSCS – Certified Security Compliance Specialist

3) CHA – Certified HIPAA Administrator

Scott stated “Hopefully this encourages more people to start reporting their certificates if they have them, and it also provides us a place to store them once acquired.”

This is a great reminder to all providers: if you have certifications, be sure to add them to your profile! Many buyers will sort and search for particular certifications, so if you have yours listed, you will show up as qualified for their particular requirements. Remember a complete and up-to-date profile is always a win-win situation for everyone!

We are now at the point where I usually give some tips for both our buyers and providers. I am not going to provide a list this month, but I want to stress something I did mention last month that lays at the core of all the transactions which occur between parties here on Field Nation. The point I want to make this month is communication. I cannot begin to tell you how many times a week I get involved in situations where the core of the friction between parties was due to a lack of communication. I will open a work order at the request of a provider or buyer and see 20 or 30 different messages, and this week I even had one that had 54! Six messages into reviewing the situation, I saw where the issue could have been resolved if someone had only picked up the phone. Our message system for work orders is great, so don’t get me wrong here, however, I really do see the need almost daily for buyers and providers to communicate verbally. Feel free to make a note in the messages that you spoke, but try to avoid going back and forth and back and forth without speaking (it’s almost like sword fighting). Remember to use the good old telephone since it is always a better way to communicate if there is confusion or an issue needs to be addressed immediately. I personally thank everyone should to give this a try.

I wanted to mention we are always focused on our core values here at Field Nation, and I wanted to share them with all of you:

  1. We Obsess.
  2. We Disrupt.
  3. We Think BIG. We Think Long Term.
  4. We Are Relentless.
  5. We Are Humble.
  6. We Are Frugal.
  7. We Work Together.

That is it, my friends. That is what the Field Nation core values are all about!

We live them, we enjoy them and we share them. Super stuff!

That is it for this month. Please feel free to send me an email or give me a call if you want to join my group “VP Customer Service Corner” in Field Nation. I always enjoy hearing from everyone.

Thanks to all for your continued support of Field Nation, and as always BE SAFE.
